It's A Boy!

On Friday November 6, 2009 @ 10:25am our sweet little precious boy came into this world weighing 7lbs 10oz. We were able to see him for the first time on Sunday November 8th. It was a day of tremendous joy but also a difficult day as we left the hospital not knowing for sure if he would come to our home. Our prayers were answered on Wednesday November 11, 2009 as we met the Birth Parents and their families at the adoption agency to pick up our son. It was one of the most sacred, special, spiritual experiences of our lives and a day we will never forget. I won't go into the details because it will always be a very private day for our family. I have recorded it in our son's journal for him to read about when he is older so he too can feel of the sacredness of that day. I believe he felt it and was emotionally drained by the end of that day because when we brought him home of course I did not want to put him down so I held him the entire night while sitting on the couch. He slept in my arms for 5 hours just exhausted. So today is exactly two weeks since we picked him up and it has been two weeks of pure joy and happiness and GRATITUDE towards our Heavenly Father for blessing us with this sacred quiet spirit to bless our lives. My desire to be a mother has always been very strong but to actually receive the title of "Mother" has been the most amazing feeling in my life. It is better than I ever imagined.

Because our journey to adopt has felt like an eternity every moment is so precious....every cry, every poopy diaper, every feeding, every bath....every moment. We adore him and hope and pray every day for his Birth Parents and for his happiness in this life. We are thrilled to be parents and feel so blessed to have this beautiful little baby boy to hold and love and care for.
