We want to let as many people as possible know of our plans to adopt in hopes that we can find our birth parents. You can also view our adoption profile at beta.itsaboutlove.org and search for our first names.
We appreciate you helping us achieve our desire to become parents.
Love,
Craig and Amber

Dear Birth Parents,
We would like to thank you for taking the time to learn about who we are as individuals and as a couple. We are empathetic towards you and we have spent many hours discussing and contemplating the adoption process from your perspective. We express deep respect and gratitude to you for your decision to place your baby for adoption. That sacrifice on your part shows us what kind of a person you are, someone who is compassionate, completely selfless, and one who desires to make the best choice for their child. We also appreciate your decision because without you we would not be able to have a family. We have known from the first day of our marriage that we wanted to have children; however, we never imagined having to face the challenges that come with infertility. Please allow us to give you a brief introduction to who we are.
We both come from good homes and we were both raised as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We both share the same feelings and values on the important role that the family plays in our lives. We love our families and we each look forward to any opportunity that we have to spend time with them and make everlasting memories.

I grew up on a farm in Utah, learning to work hard and have fun at the same time. I have two younger brothers who have always been my best friends. I have loving, supportive parents who live each day to make their children happy. I served a full time mission in Madrid, Spain, where I learned to love the gospel of Jesus Christ and gained a strong testimony. Amber and I met four months after I returned from Spain and quickly fell in love. We were engaged and married six months later. Shortly after we were married we bought a home and remodeled it together. We really enjoyed this opportunity to work together on making the house our home. We lived in our home for three-and-a-half years while I completed my undergraduate degree in Sociology. During this time Amber worked full time as the office manager of an oral surgery practice. I then decided to continue my education by entering law school. We spent my first year of law school in Vermont. We both enjoyed the opportunity to move to another part of the country and to learn and experience a new place and new people. After my first year of law school, we decided to move back to Utah where I will graduate with a Juris Doctorate degree in May 2009. I enjoy all manner of outdoor activities and feel at home in the wilderness.

I have four sisters and two brothers and I am an identical twin. I grew up in a large family and have been accustomed to being around lots of children. I participated in many activities during my childhood including dance, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and piano. I love to learn and I have always done well in school. I express love and compassion for people and enjoy helping others. These attributes are what led me to the decision to pursue a degree in Nursing. I am currently working in the Newborn ICU as I prepare to enter the nursing program to obtain a Bachelor of Nursing. I have a passion for running and I have run nine marathons and approximately 25 half-marathons. I enjoy running because it is a great way to practice good health, it allows me the time and opportunity to make decisions, and I am able to start each day feeling renewed and rejuvenated. I enjoy running with friends or alone, but my favorite runs are with my yellow lab, Bridger.
Bridger joined our family when he was seven weeks old and he just turned five this last summer. Bridger is a very friendly dog who loves to run, play and be around people. He is very gentle and easy around children. Bridger’s favorite activity is swimming; we have to be careful not to say the word “swimming” aloud because he gets very excited about going. Bridger is a very important part of our family and we love him very much.
We have many interests in common including rock climbing, canyoneering, watching and playing soccer, camping, backpacking, hiking, swimming, and watching movies. We are the best of friends and we have really made an effort to nurture our marriage and practice caring for one another. Our communication has continually developed in our six years of marriage and we make a constant effort to develop our relationship each day. We love to laugh together and we spend a lot of time laughing and enjoying one another’s company. Although the struggles of infertility have been difficult, our marriage has benefited from the experience and we both feel that our family is supposed to come from adoption. These experiences have also reinforced our testimonies of the gospel, the role of the Savior in our individual lives, and the belief that our families are eternal. These realizations bring joy and excitement into our hearts.
We look forward to adding to our family and spending our days making memories that will last an eternity. We have a strong desire to be parents and we promise to bring a child into a loving, fun, and uplifting home. Adding a child to our family is our greatest desire. Thank you for considering us to be the adoptive parents of your child.
Sincerely,
Craig and Amber
