Just a little update on us since it has been a while since our last post. I recently started my new job working in the Newborn ICU. What a great place to work! I absolutely love it...those little babies make me feel so happy. They are all little fighters and to watch them progress is absolutely amazing. Today was the first day I was able to watch a child birth and I was the person who received the baby through the surgical suite window. It was cool to think that I was the second person to touch the baby and carry her safely to her bed where the nurses and doctors were waiting to care for her. It was so cool to watch it and then see the child immediately after birth. I was overwhelmed and felt the adrenaline. It was really cool and then I spent the rest of my day assisting one of the nurses who was caring for a set of triplets. I was able to do their vital signs and their feedings throughout the day. I have learned so much already. Just to hold the little ones is a wonderful experience and brings me a lot of joy. This is my first experience working 12 hour shifts and night shifts so it is taking time for my body to adjust but otherwise I have really enjoyed the new experience!
Craig is looking forward to graduating from law school this May. Finally the end is in sight. We are very excited to move into the next part of our life together! So many adventures still to come......
Also, to update on the adoption process. Craig and I have just completed the application process with LDS Family Services and once we attend our final class in February we should receive our official approval letter. Once we get this our profile will be available for birth mothers to review and hopefully we will be chosen soon! It has been a very difficult process but we are grateful that we were able to experience this together and we look forward to the start of our family!! It is just a waiting game from here on. We like to call it patience with endurance. If you know of any birth mothers looking for adoptive parents please keep us in mind.

Your new job sounds very interesting and special. What a wonderful experience to be with all those little babies. I think it really fits you. Good luck on finishing up the adoption process!
Hey, I am so sorry I have not written sooner... I am thinking you might see this before an email. I just wanted to let you know that myself and my biological mother both really liked your letter... You two are going to make great parents, and I can just feel that something will suddenly come up, so be careful what you wish for! ;-)
I am very envious of what you get to do at your job! I am sure it is absolutely amazing to watch the birth of a baby. Congrats on the job! We miss you...
I'm glad you are enjoying the new job. I still wish we were at least on the same end of the hospital so we could see each other more often :)
I'll be keeping you in mind- I KNOW you will be the PERFECT mother! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey!
See you Thursday!
Hi Amber! I am jealous...I helped out in the ICU a few times here and there and I would love to work there permanently. Good luck with the adoption process too. We will definitely keep you guys in our prayers and in mind if we hear of anything.
