So I have been getting a lot of grief for my lack of blog action lately. Let me just explain a few things that have been going on in my life and hopefully you will forgive me. Yes, the soccer season is over and you might think that our lives ended (some days feel that way during the off season) however, they have become more complicated. First of all, I was called to serve as the 2nd counselor in the Relief Society that has become a priority over the blog. Also, juggling school, work and not to mention making a change in my position at work. I realize most people juggle these things, for me though, it has just taken a little adjusting in my schedule to accomplish everything but I assure you I am getting better at it each day.
The biggest and most exciting event happening in our lives is we are in the process of completing the adoption paperwork with LDS Family Services. Most of you already know that Craig and I have been unsuccessful in our desires to start a family......it has been very challenging for us but in many ways has strengthened our marriage. We are very excited about our decision to adopt and feel it is the very best option for us. We have just a few more online forms and interviews remaining and then hopefully one of the birth mothers will choose us to be the parents of her child. I have had many days filled with tears and a pained heart but today I feel hopeful and excited for the amazing opportunity we have to give a child a happy home to grow up in. We have many friends and family who have been so supportive and offered encouragement and letters of references for us in this process....we are so lucky to be part of something so wonderful.
My twin sister and her family are coming to visit us this week from Georgia so there will be plenty to blog about next week. I cannot wait for them to come and stay with us. When the twins get together things can get a little crazy.....
