We are so proud of Lannykins....

three days ago he started sleeping through the night. Saturday it was 7 hours, Sunday it was 8 and last night it was 9 hours. WOW! It's true when people say that the first night they sleep through the night you will wake up panicked if they are okay. Saturday night I woke at 5am in a panic because I had not heard him all night. I immediately ran to the side of his crib to make sure he was breathing and sure enough he was just fine but my rush to his crib woke him. Who knows how long he was planning on sleeping that night. Well, he has had a few nights here and there where he has slept 5-6 hours so I thought this was just a random night that he was extra tired. BUT, when it happened again and again I am starting to think this might be his new big boy behavior.

He had his 4-month birthday on Saturday and we took him in for his 4-month appointment yesterday. The doctor said he is in excellent health and developing really well. He also said "no more nighttime feedings". I was worried that last night I would have to say with hold a feeding during the night but no problems he slept from 9:45pm until 7:30am. We are so proud of him and what a big boy he is. As nice as it has been to have a few nights of sleep, I sure do miss him during the night. Our nighttime feedings together are precious moments in the dark, quiet of the night where it is just the two of us eating and snuggling. My body is so use to waking up that it is keeping me up but hopefully we will manage to adapt to the changes that come with a growing boy.

I just adore this little guy and his sweet Spirit and personality. He makes my day every day and I can't wait to see his smile first thing in the morning when I walk up to his crib and he sees us for the first time that day. It is something to cherish for sure. Life is moving along for us and we are so happy to be parents and enjoy the blessings that come with all the sacrifices. The best job in the world is the one I am doing right now....being a Mother!!
