On our way to the Desert.....where Craig feels at home!

We are all packed up and ready to go.....off to the desert to renew, rejuvenate and spend some time together as a family. Me, Craig and Bridger ready to enjoy our Spring Family Vacation.

We just arrived to our campsite and Craig is enjoying our view of the vast desert with the beautiful La Salle Mountains in the background.

We are excited to be together to uncover some of the mysteries of the remote area by Horseshoe Canyon.

Absolutely amazing!

Bridger was excited to go somewhere and discover some new smells.

Here is the "kryptobiotic" soil we spend so much time preserving. Kryptobiotic literally means, hidden life and that is what it is. Soil that has taken at least 60 years to grown some of this is much older than that and our goal is to not disturb it by walking on it. It can be difficult in these remote areas because it is everywhere and really limits how you can get around. I love it, it is so fascinating to me.

And of course, our favorite time of day...a desert sunset!

We tried to get the sunset behind us but were not very successful. Trust me it was amazing.

Craig and Bridger enjoying the cooling of the earth as the sun goes down and the temperatures drop.

Breakfast time is so fun....Bridger is so helpful in helping Craig prepare granola with blueberries.

Well rested and ready for a day of exploring.

Craig loves to look over the edges to see what is in the canyon, it makes me nervous but how can you not look when there is so much to see!

See what I mean.

We are on the very top looking down but I wanted to try and get a quick picture...I am so glad we didn't fall.

I love my family and feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful state.

Bridger thinks he gets to decide when we are done playing frisbee. I guess he was hot and tired and just wanted to sit in the shade and the only way to accomplish that was to steal our frisbee and hold it hostage.

Wow, our family photo actually worked! Bridger never looks at the camera when we have to set the timer because he is so curious as to why Craig is running over to us.

Just a tree growing from the red rock. So cool!

Another sunset!

This canyon is not on the map and has no name, so we named it Jenson Canyon. I think it works and next time we are here without Bridger we can go down in it and explore it.

Bridger makes everything so much fun!

The Yucca plants were blooming everywhere, these are our favorite plants in the desert.

Naptime in the shade.

This kryptobiotic soil is very old.

Bridger is waiting patiently for some more water.

My boys looking over the cliff again. I love my boys!!

This is a picture of moon if you can see it. I thought it was cool but it didn't turn out as good as it was in real life.

Thanks Craig for another Jenson Adventure, you are the greatest and I love you!!
